I am Jake Aicher, a designer, builder, and creator from Georgia, who enjoys projects everywhere from game development to woodworking.
Before attending SCAD, I obtained an Associate of Science in Ski Area Operation as well as Certificates of Slope and Trail Maintenance I and II. I went on to put my knowledge into practice through operating snowcats during the winters and building and maintaining chairlifts in the summer.
My time in the ski industry has given me valuable insight and experience in working on large teams to accomplish large scale projects. I also gained understanding of assembly and construction process using and working around a wide range of tools and heavy equipment. Through my time at SCAD, I have gained an appreciation for experimentation in my creative endeavors which, in conjunction with my ski industry experience, I hope to continue to master my process and add to my creative knowledge.
